Daniel Brown, 24, has admitted that between August 13, 2015 and May 13, 2016 at his then-home in Reid Place, Glenrothes, he was concerned in the supply of cannabis.

Depute fiscal Alex Piper said police obtained a search warrant after receiving information that Brown was keeping controlled drugs in the property.

They were allowed into the house and when they detained Brown he was found to have £260 in cash in his pocket.

There were also scales, further large cash sums, clear bags and mobile phones in the property.

Police found 683 grams of cannabis with a potential street value of up to £6830, the depute told Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

“It’s certainly the Crown’s position that this was a commercial venture,” she added.

Brown now lives at Fordell Road, Glenrothes.

Sheriff Charles MacNair deferred sentence for reports and Brown will return to court to be sentenced on May 2.
