Elderly woman robbed in her home in Dysart

Police in Kirkcaldy are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Alexander Street, Dysart on Tuesday (September 27).

The incident happened around 8.45am when a man working with another person robbed a 62-year-old woman in her home.

Jewellery and a moneybox containing a four figure sum of cash were stolen.

Suspect one is described as male, approximately 40-years-old, 5 ft 10in tall, and of skinny build. He had a local accent and was wearing a blue hooded top.

Suspect two was described as being shorter than the first suspect, was also skinny, was wearing a cream baseball cap and spoke with a ‘squeaky’ voice.

Detective Sergeant Colin Potter, who is leading the investigation said: “This has been a distressing incident for the resident.

“I would appeal for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed anything suspicious to contact the police.”
