Fife crash: Police helicopter over Burntisland after occupants flee vehicle

The Police Scotland helicopter has been assisting in a search this evening for the occupants of a car which went down an embankment.

Police confirmed that the car crash on the A909 between Burntisland and Cowdenbeath happened at around 6.30pm this evening near the B9157 Quarry Road.

A single vehicle was involved, which went down an embankment.

Police confirmed that the occupants were not in the vehicle when officers arrived.

The Police Scotland helicopter was deployed to assist in the search, hovering over Burntisland and Kinghorn shortly after 8pm this evening.
