Fife man fined for having a class A drug

A Fife man has been fined £300 for having a Class A drug in his possession.

Jamie Mercer, of Scoonie Terrace, Leven, appeared before Sheriff James Williamson at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Mercer, 37, admitted that on September 2, 2020 at Taxi Centre Fife in Wellesley Road, Methil, he had a Class A drug, namely diamorphine, in his possession contrary to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

The court heard the value of the drugs was £210. Sheriff Williamson fined Mercer £300.
