Fife man jailed for spray-painting buildings with abusive remarks

A Glenrothes man who admitted spray-painting buildings in the town with abusive remarks has been jailed for six months.

Gavin Simm appeared via video link from prison before Sheriff Pino Di Emidio at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Simm, 27, admitted that between January 20 last year and January 22, 2021 at various buildings in Glenrothes including the Salvation Army and Nisa in Caskieberran Road, he spray-painted the walls with abusive remarks.

Sheriff Di Emidio sentenced Simm to six months in jail.
