Fife man supplied drugs and had offensive weapon

A Kirkcaldy man who admitted supplying drugs and having an offensive weapon has had his sentence deferred until next year.

Jack Gourlay, of Invertiel Terrace, appeared before Sheriff Alistair Thornton at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Gourlay (25) previously admitted that between November 19, 2019 and November 22, 2019 at Dunearn Drive, Kirkcaldy and elsewhere he was concerned in the supply of cannabis, a class B drug, contrary to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

On another charge on November 22, 2019 at Dunearn Drive, Kirkcaldy, Gourlay did, without reasonable excuse or lawful authority, have with him an offensive weapon, namely a baton.

He also admitted that on November 22, 2019 at his home address, he produced cannabis contrary to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

He admitted committing all three offences while on bail.

Sheriff Thornton deferred sentence until February 25 for Gourlay to be of good behaviour. He also called for a supplementary social work report.
