Glenrothes man made violent threats and damaged car
A Glenrothes man who made violent threats and damaged a car with a weight has had his sentence deferred until April 12.
Steven Dear, of Hamilton Place, appeared before Sheriff Jamie Gilchrist at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.
Dear, 27, admitted that on July 30, 2020 at an address in Carfrae Drive, Glenrothes he behaved in a threatening manner in that he attended at the address uninvited, acted in an aggressive manner, shouted, swore and made threats of violence.
He further admitted on the same date, in the same place he damaged property belonging to another in that he repeatedly struck a motor car with a weight causing damage to the vehicle.
Dear’s defence lawyer said had her client not been under the influence of alcohol these offences would not have happened.
Sheriff Gilchrist opted to defer sentence until April 12 for the Crown to ascertain the cost of the damage caused.
