A Glenrothes man who admitted stealing bottles of gin has had his sentence deferred until next month.

Christopher Gourdie, of Brae Court, had his case call before Sheriff James Williamson at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Gourdie, 36, admitted that on February 13 this year at Aldi in Flemington Road, Glenrothes he stole a quantity of bottles of gin.

The court heard the value of the bottles were £56.25 and they were not recovered. Sheriff Williamson deferred sentence until December 17 for the personal appearance of the accused.
