Glenrothes man stole laundry detergents, meat and home fragrance items

A Glenrothes man who admitted stealing laundry detergents, meat and home fragrance items has had his sentence deferred until next month.

Michael Dodds, of Ednam Drive, appeared before Sheriff Alison McKay at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Dodds, 35, admitted that on January 12, 2021 at The Co-operative Group in Woodside Road, Glenrothes he stole a quantity of laundry detergents.

On January 23, 2021 he admitted at Tesco Express, South Parks Road, Glenrothes he stole meat while on bail. He further admitted breaching his bail conditions by being outside his home address on January 24, 2021.

He admitted stealing a quantity of home fragrance items, laundry detergent and biscuits on January 24, 2021 from Tesco Express on South Parks Road, Glenrothes, while he was on bail.

On January 25, 2021 in the same place he admitted stealing meat and committing the offence while on bail.

The court heard his stealing was due to his drug problem. Sheriff McKay deferred sentence until March 18.
