Glenrothes murder: Man in court charged with killing Marc Hacon-Deavin

A man has appeared in charged with murdering Mark Hacon-Deavin in Glenrothes.

Scott West appeared in private at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court today.

The 45-year is accused of murdering Mr Hacon-Deavin, 41, on July 22 by repeatedly striking him on the head and body with a knife, or similar weapon.

It is also alleged that West was in possession of cannabis in Ayton Court, Glenrothes.

West made no plea, and his case was continued for further examination.

Mr Hacon-Deavin was found injured on a cycle path at Boblingen Way in the town early in the morning of Saturday, July 17.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
