A Glenrothes woman who admitted seizing a female police constable by the hair, dragging her to the ground and struggling violently with her has had her sentence deferred for six months.

Caroline Garrity, of Dunbeath Drive, appeared before Sheriff Timothy Niven-Smith at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Garrity, 44, admitted on July 6, 2021 at Carrick Gate, Glenrothes, she made threats of violence towards a female constable, seized her by the hair, dragged her to the ground and struggled violently with her.

Her sentence was deferred until September 13.
