A Glenrothes woman has been fined £200 for having a class A drug.

Holly Fitzwater, of Forres Drive, was not in court when her case called before Sheriff Alistair Thornton at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Fitzwater, 30, previously admitted that on June 22 this year at Kirkcaldy Police Station in St Brycedale Avenue, Kirkcaldy, she had diamorphine in her possession, a class A drug, contrary to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

The court heard the value of the drug was £40. Sheriff Thornton fined her £200.
