A 14-year-old girl from has been arrested and charged after an assault on a boy in the town’s Beveridge Park.

The attack took place on Saturday at around 6pm.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Following a report of a 12-year-old boy being assaulted in Beveridge Park, Kirkcaldy, around 6pm on Saturday, 1 May, a 14-year-old girl has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

"A report will be sent to the Youth Justice Management Team. Enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances of what happened.”
