Kirkcaldy man admitted sending 'child' a naked image of himself

A Kirkcaldy man who sent a ‘child’ a naked image of himself has had his sentence deferred.

Brian McGowan, of Gourlay Street, Kirkcaldy appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

McGowan, 27, admitted between July 7 and July 13, 2019 at his home address, he sent a naked image of himself to a 13-year-old child but, the youngster was in fact, an adult pretending to be a child.

Sentence deferred until April 26 for McGowan to be of good behaviour and for the Crown to carry out further enquiries.
