Kirkcaldy man admitted supplying drugs and having an offensive weapon

A Kirkcaldy man who admitted supplying drugs and having an offensive weapon is due to be sentenced at the end of this month.

Jack Gourlay, of Invertiel Terrace, appeared before Sheriff Alison McKay at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Gourlay (25) admitted that between November 19, 2019 and November 22, 2019 at Dunearn Drive, Kirkcaldy and elsewhere he was concerned in the supply of cannabis, a class B drug, contrary to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

On another charge on November 22, 2019 at Dunearn Drive, Kirkcaldy, Gourlay did, without reasonable excuse or lawful authority, have with him an offensive weapon, namely a baton.

He also admitted that on November 22, 2019 at his home address, he produced cannabis contrary to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

He admitted committing all three offences while on bail.

Sheriff McKay deferred sentence until November 26 for an up-to-date Criminal Justice Social Work report and Restriction of Liberty assessment. His bail was continued.
