Kirkcaldy man sent offensive text messages and made violent threats to woman

A Kirkcaldy man who admitted sending offensive text messages to a woman has been fined £300 and placed on a three-year non-harassment order.

Gordon Leitch, of Craigmount, appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Leitch, 46, admitted on December 22, 2019 at Fife Healthcare, Whytemans Brae, Kirkcaldy he sent offensive text messages to a woman and threatened her with violence.

The court heard the accused had been struggling with mental health issues, but is now receiving support.

Bail was granted on the condition he does not approach the woman involved.
