Kirkcaldy woman gets prison warning after stealing from Tesco store

A Kirkcaldy woman who admitted stealing a mobile phone, cleaning products and meat has had her sentence deferred for three months.

Debbie Hall, of Marion Street, appeared before Sheriff James Williamson at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Hall, 31, admitted on February 27 this year at an address in Saunders Street, Kirkcaldy she stole a mobile phone.

She also admitted on March 17, 2020 at Tesco Express, South Parks Road, Glenrothes she stole detergent and a quantity of cleaning products.

Hall admitted on January 12, 13 and 14, 2020 at Tesco Express in South Parks Road, Glenrothes she stole a quantity of meat.

Sheriff Williamson told Hall: “I am going to defer sentence for three months for you to be of good behaviour during that time. But if you offend again you will be going to prison. Be of good behaviour or go to jail that is the stark choice.”

He deferred sentence until July 8.
