A Leven man who admitted damaging a car while attempting to steal has been fined £75.

David Robertson, of Gladstone Street, had his case call at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Robertson, 41, admitted on July 15, 2020, he was found in a vehicle at Scoonie Court, Leven without lawful authority to be there so it may be inferred he intended to commit theft.

The court heard the accused had damaged the steering wheel so Sheriff Alistair Thornton ordered Robertson to pay £250 compensation as well as a £75 fine.
