A Leven man who behaved in an abusive manner threatening violence has had his sentence deferred until next month.

Gary Anderson, of Glebe Street, appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Anderson, 55, admitted on October 31 this year outside an address in Durie Street, Methil he behaved in an abusive manner by shouting, swearing, making derogatory remarks and threatening a woman with violence. He committed the offence while subject to an undertaking to appear at court. Anderson, who was granted bail, is due to be sentenced on January 12.
