Leven man threatened paramedics and argued with himself

Michael Carroll, of High Street, appeared before Sheriff Christopher Shead at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.
Carroll, 24, admitted that on February 18 this year at Tay Street, Methil he shouted, made threats of violence and acted in an aggressive manner.

Hide AdHe further admitted on February 19 this year in the same place and within a police vehicle en route from there to Kirkcaldy Police Station, that he behaved in a threatening manner in that he shouted and swore at paramedics.
The Procurator Fiscal Depute told the court: “The accused was staying with his mother and had been out. He let himself back in and was very intoxicated. She came into the living room and said she was going to let the dogs out. He said he would let them out.
"He went outside the property and was walking up and down the street, he started arguing with himself.
"He went back to the house and then went out again.”
She said it was after midnight when he saw an ambulance and paramedics who were attending to a witness. The accused then became aggressive towards them. He was then arrested by police.
His defence lawyer said his client could do unpaid work.

Hide AdSheriff Shead sentenced him to a Community Payback Order, placed him under supervision and ordered him to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work to be done in 12 months.
