Lochore attack treated as attempted murder

Police are treating the attack of a 30-year-old man in Lochore on Sunday as an attempted murder.

The man sustained several serious injuries in the Loch Leven Gardens area in an assault police suspect was carried out by two men.

Emergency services were called to Loch Leven Road, outside the Co-op, at around 4.30pm.

The man was rushed to Victoria Hospital and is now in a stable condition.

Detective Inspector Colin Robson, of Dunfermline CID, said: “We’re eager to trace a dar-coloured BMW car and a Ford Transit type van that were seen in the area around this time.

“I’d urge anyone who witnessed the attack and has not yet spoken to officers to contact us as soon as possible.

“Anyone who has seen these vehicles, or has any other information which can assist, is also asked to get in touch.”
