Male charged after alleged assault in Levenmouth

It is understood that it relates to an incident at the new Levenmouth Academy yesterday (Thursday).

A tweet from the Levenmouth Police account which first referred to it is now no longer available to view.

A statement from Police Scotland said: “A male has been charged in connection with an assault in Levenmouth on Thursday, September 8.

“A report has been sent to the Children’s Reporter.”

The spokesman added: “Police Scotland took the decision to remove the tweet in order to preserve the legal process and to protect all parties involved.”

Levenmouth Academy opened just over three weeks ago and is the second largest school in Scotland.
