Man accused of assaulting police officer at Markinch train station
The incident happened on Saturday night at around 10pm following concerns for the welfare of a man at the train station which serves the Glenrothes, Leslie and Levenmouth areas of Fife.
British Transport Police officers attended the scene and arrested a 29 year-old man on suspicion of breach of the peace, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.

Hide AdThe man was released pending an appearance at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on January 8.
British Transport Police spokesperson said: “British Transport Police were called at 22.04pm to Markinch Railway station following concerns for the welfare of a man.
"Officers attended and following an engagement with person, he was arrested on suspicion of breach of the peace, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. The man, aged
29, has been released on undertaking for Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on 08/01/2021."
