Man charged after Kirkcaldy firearms arrest

Police made an arrest on Sunday, after reports of a man with a firearm on Dunnikier Road at around 6pm.

Officers have now confirmed that a 24-year-old man has been charged and will appear in court.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Around 6 pm on Sunday, 17 May, 2020, police received a report of a man believed to be in possession of a firearm in Dunnikier Road, Kirkcaldy.

"A 24-year-old man has subsequently arrested and has been charged in connection with the incident.

"He will appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court at a later date."
