Man faces trial for alleged sex offence against 10-year old girl at Fife school

An Aberdour man is to stand trial accused of an alleged sex offence against a girl at a Fife school in the 1980s.

The alleged incident is said to have happened on an occasion between January 25, 1987 and January 24, 1988 at Starley Hall School in Aberdour Road, Burntisland.It is alleged Robert Jennings, 66, of Main Street, Aberdour, used lewd, indecent and libidinous practices and behaviour towards a girl then aged 10 by placing his hand under her skirt, touching her on the leg and her private parts over her clothing.The trial is set for October 18 at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.
