A Methil man who admitted driving a car dangerously, colliding with another vehicle and seriously injuring a man has had his sentence deferred until next month.

Greg Stewart, of Wellesley Road, had his case called at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Stewart, 38, admitted on August 16, 2020 on the A911 Glenrothes and Wellesley Road, Methil he caused serious injury to a man by driving a car dangerously, repeatedly entering the opposing carriageway and leaving the road, mounting the pavement, repeatedly applying the brakes when not required to do so and repeatedly entering the opposing carriageway in the face of oncoming traffic, failing to keep a proper look out and losing control of the vehicle, colliding with a car.

He also admitted on August 17, 2020 on Wellesley Road and Memorial Road, Methil, he was, when driving a motor van, unfit to drive through drink and drugs.

Sheriff James Williamson deferred sentence until February 11 for personal appearance of the accused. Stewart was disqualified from driving meantime.
