Fife man sent sexual messages and images to 'child' in court

A Methil man who admitted sending sexual messages and images to who he believed was a young girl, but was in fact an adult, has had his sentence deferred until August 31.

Ian Henderson, of Kirkland Drive, Methil had his case call at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Henderson, 41, admitted between August 14 and August 20, 2020 at his home address and elsewhere, he attempted to cause a person, who he believed to be a child who had reached the age of 13 years but was under 16, called Kelsey, but was in fact an adult male pretending to be said child, to look at a sexual image and sent sexualised messages and images of a naked woman.

He also admitted for the purposes of obtaining sexual gratification or of humiliating, distressing or alarming a child called Kelsey, but was in fact an adult male, sending a number of sexualised messages and images and attempting to communicate indecently.
