Methil man caught drink-driving is banned for three years

A motorist who was found to be twice over the limit has been banned from driving for three years and ordered to carry out 140 hours of unpaid work.

Scott Lambert (34), Logie Street, Lower Methil, admitted to driving a vehicle when unfit to do so after drinking alcohol on Methil Brae on February 6 last year.

He appeared before Sheriff Jamie Gilchrist at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Lambert was found to have 49 microgrammes of alcohol in his breath. The legal limit is 22.
