Paramedic assaulted in Fife town

A Kirkcaldy man who admitted assaulting a paramedic has had his sentence deferred until the new year.

Austin Scott, of Alison Street, was not in Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court when his case called before Sheriff Alistair Thornton.

Scott, 31, previously admitted that on January 3 this year at an address in Dunnikier Road, Kirkcaldy he assaulted, obstructed or hindered a paramedic by seizing him by the body, lifting him from the ground, pushing him and struggling violently with him.

Sheriff Thornton deferred sentence until January 21, 2021.
