Police appeal after Middle Den incident in Kirkcaldy

Police investigating an incident in Kirkcaldy want to speak to a woman.

They say she may have ‘‘important information.’’

Officers are probing an incident at Middle Den – a path in a wooded area at Dunnikier Way, near to Kirkcaldy High School.

It happened around 8.30am on Thursday.

They are keen to trace a woman who was walking on Middle Den path.

They say she was going from the direction of the school, and may have information as a witness.

The woman may be the mother of a pupil at the school or local primary school, or she may have been walking to Victoria Hospital.

Detective Inspector Jim Leeson based at Glenrothes said: “It is important that we trace this woman as she may have important information that could assist us.

‘‘I would urge this woman, or anyone else who was in this area at the time, or spoke with anyone on the path, to please call us on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
