Police appeal to parents in probe over anti-social behaviour in Fife town

Police in a Fife town have challenged parents to check where their children have been after more reports of anti-social behaviour.

Cowdenbeath Police took to social media to share pictures of damage to local pitches, and rubbish left behind.

They took the stance after being called again to Lochgelly Public Park to assess the litter and damage to the area.

Police reported finding bottles, cans of alcohol, glass on the pitch, and bins and furniture set on fire.

In a tweet they said: “Parents have a look at the pictures, where's your child been?

Local officers have been out on patrol tonight, targeting areas where anti social behaviour has been a concern.

The urged anyone with information to call them on 101.
