Police close investigation into report of woman robbed in Fife village

Police have closed their investigation into a report a woman was robbed in a Fife village.

Fife Police had appealed for information in relation to the incident which happened last Saturday lunchtime, near to Willow House Nursing Home on Toll Road in the Cellardyke area.

They responded to reports a 63-year-old woman had been robbed of a carrier bag by a youth on a bicycle, who then left the area whilst a member of the public assisted the victim.

Police had previously issued a description of a boy on a dark coloured bike.

Today they added: “Enquiries have now been concluded and officers have establishes there is no criminality.”We are not looking for anyone else in relation to this incident.”Police thanked the public for their assistance.
