Police hunt man after sexual offence in Fife town

Police have appealed for help to trace a man who left the teenagers shaken after approaching them in Lochgelly.

The driver of a white coloured saloon car approached the 17-year olds and asked for directions.

He touched himself in a sexual manner before driving off in the direction of Hall Street.

Police say the girls were not injured, but were left shaken by the incident.

It happened around 7.15pm on Tuesday, on the High Street.

The man is described as a white and in his late 20s. He was of a skinny build with ginger stubble.

He was wearing a grey t-shirt, black jogger bottoms with a black baseball cap and glasses.

Detective Constable Ross Gribbons: “This was a very distressing incident for the girls involved and although they were not physically harmed they were left shaken.

“We are eager to trace the man responsible as soon as possible and I would appeal to anyone who may recognise the description of the suspect or who may have seen a white car in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch.”
