Police investigation following serious assault in Kirkcaldy

Hill Street in Kirkcaldy has been closed off for most of the afternoon today (Monday) following in incident.

Police and ambulance were called to the area just after lunchtime and a police cordon was put into place at the junction with Whytescauseway.

No arrests have been made and an investigation has begun.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police in Fife are investigating following a serious assault in Kirkcaldy on Monday, October 31.

“The incident happened around 1.50pm on Hill Street.

“Anyone who was in the area at the time is asked to contact officers on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
