Police probe after man found dead in Fife street

A man has been found dead in a Fife street.

A 29-year-old man was found on Alexander Road in the Auchmuty area of Glenrothes.

Police say they are treating the death, which occured on Tuesday evening, as unexplained, and say there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police Scotland was made aware of the sudden death of a 29-year-old man on Alexander Road in Glenrothes around 9.15pm on Tuesday, 19 May.

“The death is being treated as unexplained pending the outcome of a post mortem examination, although there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
