Transport police are probing a report of a man who made sexual and homophobic comments on a Fife train.

The incident happened on a Dunfermline-Lochgelly service around 7:00pm on Tuesday, February 26.

British Transport Police said a woman boarded the train alone at Cardenden station.

A man got on at Lochgelly, sat near her and began talking to her.

After a short while, he proceeded to make sexual and homophobic comments to the victim.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or were on board the service that evening.
