Road rage attack on disabled driver

It happened in Kincardine last week when a disabled driver was assaulted after an exchange of words with another motorist.

Police Scotland the incident occurred 2:30pm and 3pm on Thursday, September 22 when a 65-year-old disabled man was driving a grey Nissan Qashqai on the A985 heading towards Kincardine.

As he drove, two male motorcyclists, sitting behind the car, exchanged words with him and acted in a threatening manner as they passed.

Fearing for his safety the man attempted to avoid them by pulling onto Toll Road, but they followed.

All three vehicles stopped a short time later close to Forth View in Kincardine. The suspects then assaulted the driver, and a car window was smashed. The men then sped off.

Police are extremely keen to hear from anyone who can help identify them.

The first suspect is described as around 6ft 6ins tall, has a slim build and wore black leathers and a full helmet with a distinctive ‘alien’ design with red flashes.

The second man is said to be in his 50s, around 5ft 10ins tall and wore a half helmet. He has a full beard with grey moustache and wore small round dark glasses.

The victim suffered minor injuries. It is understood that several members of the public came to his aid.

Detective Sergeant Kelly McEwan based at Dunfermline CID said: “This was a senseless attack that caused considerable alarm to the victim and we are determined to trace the two men responsible.’’
