"Officers arrived and met with the complainer who was under the influence of alcohol. They took him to his parents address and traced the accused. The complainer had cuts inside his gum but required no further treatment.

"The accused was interviewed and admitted punching the accused and admitted being out past his curfew. He also admitted consuming three bottles of vodka and a bottle of Buckfast.”

Cameron’s defence agent said his client was moving to his mother’s address as his peers where he was currently staying were not great.

Sheriff Thornton sentenced him to an 18-week restriction of liberty order from 8pm to 7am.
