Two arrested in Fife crackdown on antisocial behaviour

Police cracking down on anti-social behaviour in Fife have made two arrests, including a woman who allegedly tried to hit officers with a glass bottle.

The arrests come as part of Operation Boo, a local initiative aimed at addressing issues connected with violence and anti-social behaviour within Lochgelly, Cardenden and Ballingry, following a rise in reports.

Both incidents happened yesterday, with reports of a woman in possession of a knife in Lochore.

A 46-year-old female was arrested and charged after allegedly making attempts to assault police officers with a glass bottle.

Also yesterday, a 58-year-old male, from Lochgelly, was arrested and charged after allegedly making threats to kill police officers and for shoplifting.

Both will appear in Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court today.
