Two men arrested after riot police seal off Fife street

Two men have been arrested after an incident which saw riot police seal off a Fife street today.

It followed a heavy police presence, as well as vehicles from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, along with Scottish Ambulance Service in the Cross Street area in Dysart this morning.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We can confirm that two men, both aged 32, have been arrested in connection with a disturbance at a property on Cross Street in Dysart."Officers attended the property shortly after 11.20am on Wednesday, July 29, 2020.

"The incident was contained to within the single property and there was no wider risk to the public."

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were alerted at 12.09pm on Wednesday, July 29 to assist emergency service partners at an address in Dysart, Fife.

"Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances."
