Two men charged after Burntisland High Street assault and robbery

Two men have been charged after an assault and robbery in Burntisland yesterday.

It follows a heavy police presence at Jason’s Newsagent early on Tuesday morning after the alarm was raised shortly before 7am.

Officers attended the scene and there were no serious injuries.

Police have now confirmed that two men, aged 39 and 28 have been arrested and charged with assault and robbery after the incident.

Both men will appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court tomorrow.

A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
