Cuparians are being asked to help the town go for gold once again in this year’s Beautiful Scotland campaign.
Judges are to visit the town this Monday, July 29, and Cupar in Bloom’s chairman Mary Law is appealing to local people to do their bit to make the town look at its blooming best.
Last year Cupar won a gold medal in the prestigious competition as well as the Wright Sustainability Award for its environmental initiatives.
“The floral displays are obviously still very important but nowadays the campaign places much more emphasis on environmental responsibility and community participation,” said Mrs Law.
“We hope residents and businesses in Cupar will do their bit by making sure the streets are free from litter and dog mess and that everywhere is clean and tidy.”
