A nine-year-old Cupar boy being treated for leukaemia is the inspiration behind a spring fair to be held on March 14 in aid of children’s cancer charities.

Toby Etheridge was diagnosed on December 12 - his Grandpa’s 80th birthday - and has been undergoing treatment at Edinburgh Sick Kids Hospital.

He and his family have already raised more than £1800 for CLIC Sargent and now they’re aiming to raise funds for Ward 2 at the hospital as well as CCLASP - Children with Cancer and Leukaemia Advice for Parents.

The event takes place in St John’s Church Hall, Cupar, at 10am and includes a range of stalls offering some great ideas for Mother’s day

There’ll also be a tombola, silent auction and raffle as well as storytelling by Sylvia Troon.

Tea, coffee, cakes and soup will be served in the church kitchen.
