A CUPAR entrepreneur joined Scotland’s business elite at a glittering awards ceremony in Glasgopw last night (Thursday).
The awards were presented at a glittering ceremony held in Glasgow.
Entreprener Austin had also been shortlisted for the prestigious title of Scottish Emerging Director of the Year at the event.
It follows his success in doubling the size of the company every year for the last five years to reach a projected turnover of £1 million.
The company, which organises sports tours all over the world, has over a thousand athletes, 90 per cent of them footballers, visiting over 20 countries this year.
AMsportstours is one of the Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust’s top 100 performing companies of the last 25 years.
Recently, Austin and his team were invited to the Scottish Parliament as the PSYBT showcased its most successful businesses.
Thanks to the growth of the tours business, Austin has made some significant changes, moving the local AMsoccerschools into a non-profit community sports club run by a parental board.
“We are fortunate to have so many supportive and pro-active parents within our club that has allowed us to facilitate this change”, he commented.
