A group from Cupar has joined keep-fit enthusiasts from all over the world to help break the record for the world’s biggest high intensity workout.
The session, organised by Cupar dance school proprietor Yvonne Gray, took place in the Old Parish Church Centre and was part of an event organised by the global nutrition company Herbalife.
The workout began on Saturday, March 7, at 9 am local time in Auckland, New Zealand. In the next 24 hours, workout events were held in towns and cities in more than 40 countries from as far afield as Singapore and Brazil.
The ‘flagship’ workout took place in Herbalife’s office in Los Angeles, with 4000 people taking part. In all, almost 400,000 people all over the world participated in the workout and afterwards Guinness Book of Records adjudicators confirmed that a new world record had been set.
