Debenhams has revealed it is to introduce a new menswear section in its Kirkcaldy department store in spring next year.
The high street store, which has traded for nine years, took the decision after listening to shoppers’ frustrations at a lack of choice in the area.
Barry Fallens, store manager, said: “There are not a lot of places in Kirkcaldy for men to shop so it’s great to be able to offer shoppers something new.”
The menswear department will comprise a number of brands including Red Herring, Mantaray and Maine.
It will be situated upstairs on the first floor.
The store, which has 26 employees, has reported successful trading in recent years.
Details have not yet emerged about what existing lines will be changed to accommodate the new menswear section.
