Domestic abuse figures for Fife show 252 reports made in two months

A total of 252 people in Fife have been reported for domestic abuse offences in two months.

The national domestic abuse campaign ran from the start of December to the end of January.

Fife Constabulary and their partner agencies interact daily with victims of domestic abuse. Fife has a dedicated domestic abuse court in Dunfermline. The court is designed to bring domestic abuse cases to trial swiftly and ensure consistence of approach for the better protection of victims.

Superintendent Alex Duncan, who led the campaign in Fife said: “Our officers and partners continue to be focused on protecting victims, including any children living within an abusive environment.”
