Don't fear! Alpacas are here!

A herd from Bowbridge Farm will appear on St Salvators Hall lawn on Friday during peak exam season to raise vital funds for Childreach International.

For £1 each, students have a chance to get up close with the goofball creatures for that ultimate selfie with proceeds going to charity.

Bowbridge Alpacas, based in Peat Inn, have teamed up with a group of daring students who will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of Childreach International in June next year.

Farm manager Sarah Johnson said “It is always great to spread the love for these fascinating animals and we are pleased to be able to support not only our local students but children internationally too.”

Childreach International have currently aided close to one million children globally and aim to continue with their vital work to provide children with “the right to live, learn play. To be happy and safe and free”.

The event will also raise funds for Childreach International by selling to the general community hot chocolate, mulled wine, toasties and home baking for a small charge where the proceedings will go also towards Childreach.
