Police are appealing for witnesses after a double break-in over the Easter weekend – at a church hall.
Intruders struck on Saturday night and Sunday night at Wellesley Parish Church hall in Methil.
Damage was caused to the building’s fire doors and items were scattered about, while some articles, including fire extinguishers, were taken. The raiders also made unsuccessful attempts to gain entry to the church.
Minister the Rev Gillian Paterson said the stolen items could be replaced but added: “It’s a bit disheartening, I must admit. It was a bit of mindless vandalism, really. It’s quite disappointing.”
Church members were involved on Monday in cleaning up the premises and liaising with police. Anyone with information should contact 101.
