REGULARS at the Douglas Arms have shown their support for a cancer surviving pal by raising thousands for charity.
Liz Anderson was diagnosed with the condition in 2011 and relied on the help of the Maggie’s Centre to help her overcome it.
The centre was also a huge comfort to Liz while she was grieving for her late husband after his battle with the illness.
The Methilhill pub raised a total of £3126.28 through sponsors from a bungee jump, which regulars Alan Moreland and Steven Bone completed in September.
Derek Ednie also did a parachute jump and a charity fund-raising day was held in the pub.
